An all-suite boutique hotel within walking distance of Cannery Row and Fisherman’s Wharf — the Junior Suite King runs from $116.40/night with code TRVL. Free breakfast included, plus a fireplace and balcony or patio in every suite. Worth it: the walkability to Monterey’s two biggest attractions means you can skip renting a car for the whole stay.
3. The Monsaraz San Diego – Tapestry Collection by Hilton
A Hilton Tapestry Collection property near San Diego Airport, with an on-site restaurant and easy access to Sunset Cliffs, Old Town, and Liberty Station. Groupon requires an account login to reveal the current rate on this one, so check pricing directly on the deal page. Worth it: the airport proximity makes this a genuinely practical pick for a late arrival or early flight without sacrificing being near San Diego’s actual sights.
4. Pelican Inn & Suites — Cambria — From $164.47/Night (Code TRVL)
An oceanfront property steps from Moonstone Beach, with free parking and Wi-Fi included, and close proximity to Hearst Castle. The Traditional King runs from $164.47/night with code TRVL — note two of the view-upgrade suite types are currently selling out. Worth it: genuine oceanfront positioning steps from a named beach is hard to find in Cambria at this rate — book soon given the sellout warning on upgraded rooms.
5. Carmel Mission Inn — Carmel-by-the-Sea — From $208.93/Night (Code TRVL)
A full-service property with an on-site restaurant and bar, heated pool, hot tub, and EV charging — the Standard King runs from $208.93/night with code TRVL, including an $11.05 resort fee already factored in. Near Carmel Beach, 17-Mile Drive, and Carmel Mission, and pet-friendly. Worth it: the resort fee being included in the quoted rate (rather than a surprise add-on at checkout) makes this one of the more transparent prices on the list.
